As I sat down to write a “mission statement” for this blog I stared at my computer screen for a while and then closed my laptop. I couldn’t think of one. There were so many ideas and yet none I could focus in on. Did I want this blog to be geared towards moms only? Did I want it to be about curing cancer without conventional treatment? Did I want to talk about the benefits of natural unmedicated childbirth or breastfeeding your babies for at least a year? And did I dare touch on the heated issue of vaccines?
“AM I on a mission?” I finally asked myself. Or am I just a late-20’s-something new mom with a passion for good nutrition and its benefits? It turns out that I am mission-minded, and my mission involves all of these things. Because all of these issues have to do with one concept: Thinking for Yourself. And sometimes we don’t always have time to think for ourselves. If I had to research all of the choices I had to make, I wouldn’t have time for anything else. Making informed decisions is time-consuming but incredibly important to me. I look forward to sharing the knowledge I have researched for and learned along my health journey. This is what Green Drink Diaries is about.
